Dr. Kristen Brendel is available to speak at your event. She has facilitated workshops, retreats, trainings, continuing education events, and presentations, both nationally and internationally to diverse audiences. She specializes in integrating current research and best practices to meet the needs of school districts, non-profits, healthcare settings, universities, and corporations. In addition to being a speaker and trainer, Dr. Brendel is a college professor. She understands how to effectively explicate research and practice to best serve clients and organizations and specializes in customized programs.

Dr. Brendel has made a career out of integrating evidence-based practices to meet the needs of individuals, students,  organizations, and corporate clients. She has expertise in evidence-based practices and approaches all her clients with the understanding of their strengths and a holistic perspective, understanding the client and all the systems that impact them. Dr. Brendel helps clients develop motivation for creating new effective patterns for growth and development. She is well-versed in mindfulness-based interventions for holistic health and wellness as it pertains to individuals, groups, nonprofits, and corporations. Dr. Brendel has helped organizations build mindfulness-based stress reduction programs that help mediate employee stress while increasing growth and productivity. Other trainings including trauma, mental health, self-care, stress management, mindfulness-based interventions, and school-based research. She has presented mindfulness and self-care to teachers and parents in school districts. Additionally, she has provided trainings to first-responders, physicians, and others who are at risk for secondary traumatic stress. Her work caught the attention of The Guardian and interviewed her in September 2017. Her research on mindfulness and schools was also featured in the Mental Elf and won the prestigious Leonard E. Gibbs award for leading evidence-based practice research.

Dr. Brendel understands that for organizations to thrive that strong relationships must be collaborative, transformative, and align with missions and goals. Often, organizations can drift from their mission and may need assistance in realigning their vision, the productivity of their employees, and transforming relationships and the culture within the organization. This often can be accomplished with stress reduction programs and organizational retreats or trainings.
