This unique supervision group will begin on Tuesday, May 14 from 7:15-9:15 p.m. at 15 W. Merchants Drive in Oswego (same street as Enzo’s Salon & Spa). It will meet first and third Tuesdays of each month. (Please note change in meeting dates for July). We will spend our first hour engaging in traditional supervision and the second hour practicing self-care in the form of yoga, meditation, and dialogue. Both hours count for LCSW supervision and/or CEUs. Cost is $129.00 per month, paid one month in advance. Save $10.00, when paying with cash or check. No refunds, makeups, or credits available, if you miss a scheduled session. Credits and makeups available if canceled by the supervisor. IL Social Work CEUs also available at no extra cost. Those who have or are pursuing LCPC or LPC are also welcome! Please check with your credentialing board to see if IL social work CEUs can transfer and if supervision by an LCSW is acceptable. CEUs will be sent to you via email bimonthly and upon request.

This location has a yoga room. Please bring your yoga mat, water, notebook, pen, and anything that makes you feel comfortable to each session.

4 social work supervision hours and/or CEUs are available each month provided by Kristen Brendel, PhD, LCSW, E-RYT, C-IAYT. It is the participants’ responsibility to keep track of hours spent in supervision and to initiate the testing processes, if applicable. All discussions need to remain confidential. Fee of $129.00 needs to be paid by the 20th of each month, prior to supervision. Save $10.00 per transaction by paying in check or cash. Makeup sessions are not available and no refunds or credits will be available in the event of missed sessions. If the supervisor cancels due to scheduling conflicts or illness, makeup sessions will be offered. The first hour of each session will be spent in traditional supervision, processing and problem-solving cases. Participants need to be mindful that there are other group members present and not everyone will have the opportunity to fully process their cases each session. Emergency calls to the police, DCFS, or elder-abuse services should not wait for supervision nor will Dr. Kristen Brendel, Per La Vita Wellness, LLC or her affiliates be responsible for delays in emergency calls or responses. The second hour of each session will be devoted to practicing self-care including meditation, yoga, and discussions surrounding prevention of compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress.
